hey everybody, its been a long time since i've made a blog post. im not sure if many people know that my page was a bunch of things in one before, as one thing i liked doing was making blog posts. i've taken time to myself to reflect on what i wanted out of drifting/the brand and i'm still trying to find my answer. but with time, im slowly narrowing down and finding myself where i shine best along with close friends. i've found that taking drifting/life less serious makes everything much more enjoyable.
i decided that a new blog would be nice to have; one that has a nice layout and more customization within the post. with that, i wanted to branch off with it and call this "handsome+". i got inspiration from some japanese brands that have a "plus" branch. i want this side of things to be a different realm of what i want to put out, basically more in-depth posts on the car or anything i want to share. to express more than through an instagram post.

to pick up when i left off on my old blog, i had gotten the car swapped with an SR, got full dmax style kit/wings, fenders, and 18" luminous pink gram lights. i did a lot of street driving during this phase of the car and it felt unreal finally having an SR.

given some time after, i picked up a new job making more money so i was able to afford cool stuff. i got the car painted midnight purple from my friend zay (@zayx_x). super appreciative of his work and honored to have a friend paint it for its first color change. also got some aggressive 17/18 KF's built by VRWheels (thanks phil). and got gp sports style mirrors which is one of my favorite parts on the car.
before new years, i was trying to get the KF's done for FNL but had delays from shortages. zay was kind enough to lend me his XT7R's for photos and i ended up buying some motegi battles since they were cheap and quick to get. this was just to get by to drive the event within a budget.
so i basically debuted the car at FNL and before i even got to drive the event, i went a little too hard streeting and smacked a curb. i ended up busting one of the battles pretty bad and didn't think it was safe to drive back on. also broke my rear bumper. luckily got saved by @370pwr with an r32 spare wheel to drive back home.
made it to the event with no sleep and drove the whole weekend. it was hella fun driving and partying with everyone in the pits. definitely an event to remember.

fast forward, i ended up driving final bout in march and joined oblivion. i've been friends with these guys for the past two years and gotten pretty close with them in that time. so when the opportunity came, i figured why not lol.
i have "vlog" on my youtube channel (handsomeplus) on how that weekend, went so go check that video out. but to give a short recap, basically no sleep, just party, and got plenty of seat time. unfortunately only had the rear set of KF's for this event. none the less, still had a great time driving and showing off my car for a bit.

towards the summer, i finally got my front set of KF's. also copped some d-max coils. they came 9k/7k springs so with it being this low, it doesn't droop down much when under load. also switched rear fenders to some origin style ones. i didn't want to drive any KU event during this time since its too hot and needed a break.
once summer ended, i got a bit more motivation to drive another KU. just had to tidy up some things on the car and was ready to drive. wasn't expecting to gain more experience and knowledge at this event.

got lots of tandem this day with the team and fat cats. tandem driving is just the best since its exciting to almost hit your friends and it looks way cooler than solo runs; so it was nice to experience that more. shout out to erika (@asolid3atleast) for the sick photo.
after the event though, the car was beat. aero took some beating and subframe bushings were toast so i had to leave the car at HQ. had to go back and forth from cities twice to fix the car which sucked. got the car all fixed up and drove it home on a leaky diff. thankfully, it broke when i was already home but it sounded pretty gnarly hearing a broken diff at 60mph. had a cool tow truck with a livery take the car back home though.
so now, i just need to refresh the aero and upgrade the car a little for next season. i already have some stuff on the way so i'm excited to get working on that. also planning to create more stuff as well in terms of merch and other things. with the experience i've gained this year, i'm finally feeling comfortable again and not dealing with this creative block. so thanks for reading, hope you guys enjoyed the blog. stay tuned for the upcoming year.
